The Central Coast area of Australia (Oz) has been a destination of
travellers from all over for many years which is why we gave it a special page in our travel guide series about Oz.. It is an
excellent travel destination for car, hire campervan, motorhome, and particularly 4wd rentals and makes a great route to travel either from
Sydney up to Cairns or the other way. This travel guide will give you a little insight into this region.
Hervey
Bay
Located about 3 hours north of the capital
city of Queensland, Brisbane, Hervey Bay is situated on what is known as
the Centreal Coast. A major travel destination Haervey Bay is probably consideredf to be the Whale watching centre of the East Coast

and is attended by many of Australia's most well know country music artists along with visiting international guests. Called the

The
Sunshine Coast
Sunshine Coast starts just north of Brisbane, Queensland's capital city, and continues north along the
coast to Cooloola National Park. There are some great places to visit along this section of coastline, and some splendid National Parks
which you can enjoy. A couple of popular attractions include Australia Zoo, which is home of the famous Irwin Family - it was Steve Irwin
who met a tragic death near Port Douglas last year - as well as plenty of animals, and Underwater World, which hosts a wide range
of underwater creatures. The Sunshine coast is an ideal region to explore by campervan or motorhome, as you can just take your time to see all
the sights.
Surfing is a great pastime here and
there are many miles of beaches to see and try your skill at this great Australian sport.
